What if Lilo and Stitch is both Megs(or if not him then Minion) and Waynes fav movie(what if both Minion and Wayne accidentally watched it when it first came out on theaters at the same time) and when Roxanne finds out its both their favs they have movie marathons with the whole gang every now and then(double date?) I saw the other anon and i can’t let the idea go its too sweet(Lilo and Stitch is my best friends special interest as well while Megamind is mine so I’m really excited rn)

I really like the idea of it being both Minion and Wayne’s favorite disney movie. 

I think Wayne probably does sympathize with Stitch because they’re both so strong that it’s terribly easy for them to be destructive, and considering how I headcanon Lady Scott, I think Wayne probably has fairly strong feelings about family. 

(He just doesn’t see how like Megamind Stitch is.)

Minion, of course, has very strong feelings about family/found family–oh, look, I just adopted this destructive overemotional highly-strung blue creature and now it’s mine forever. 

Roxanne probably sympathizes with Lilo; they both read as autistic to me, and share some traits–special interests that involve observing and documenting other people (Lilo’s photography, Roxanne’s journalism), flashes of anger and lashing out, and a tendency to try to correct people (Lilo’s “your badness level” graphic for Stitch, and Roxanne’s “these people trusted you and you just abandoned them”, etc.)

The movie might cut a little close for Megamind, but it has a happy ending, so it’s mostly okay for him.

I think Roxanne’s favorite disney movie might be Beauty and the Beast, mostly because of the giving-Belle-a-library thing, although she probably has strong feelings about The Little Mermaid, too, and will tell anyone who listens that she’s pretty sure Ariel would have chosen to become human to pursue her passion for learning about humans even if she hadn’t ever met Eric.

Megamind probably likes Beauty and the Beast, too, although the ending where the Beast becomes human hurts a lot.

I feel like Megamind’s favorite disney movie might actually be Cinderella, which is a story about the endurance of cruelty and unhappiness, of someone lowly rewarded and raised up, a story of trying to be good and finally being good enough. 

(Also I think the movie implies Cinderella tries to appear cheerful but struggles with depression– “in dreams you will lose your heartaches; whatever you wish for, you keep” and “no matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” That song seems romantic and dreamy, but it’s really got a kind of defiant edge to it.)

In the No Black Hole AU, when Roxanne and the other humans visit the planet, obviously the M’ega don’t have any hair combs themselves; they’re only going to be familiar with hairstyling and hair decorations from their interactions with the Glau. 

I’m picturing Ivaritel!Megamind researching Glau fashion to make the star combs for Roxanne.

It’s Megamind going into stores and pretending to be a masked mannequin

Staying still 95% of the time but occasionally jumping out at people

“Why a dinosaur mask, though?” Roxanne asks, later.

“That,” Megamind says, “was camouflage.”

“Camouflage?” Roxanne says, lips twitching like she’s trying not to smile. “How was that camouflage? Mannequins–ah–they generally don’t have dinosaur faces, Megamind.”

“Exactly!” Megamind says triumphantly. “Which means, Miss Ritchi, that people were so distracted by the dinosaur mask that most of them didn’t even stop to wonder why I was blue!”

He changes the mask up every once in a while to throw people off their game

concept: megamind and roxanne joking around and roxanne being like “woe is me!!! alas, ive been captured by the great and amazing supervillian megamind whatever shall i do!!” and he gets really embarassed and flustered over it and neither of them can keep a straight face

It’s April Fools. Megamind has kidnapped Roxanne on April Fools, but she’s gonna be the one to get it on him.

She plays the classic damsel. Complete melodrama vaudeville Victorian music hall style. No one other than Megamind would take her seriously.

And it’s not that he’s taking her SERIOUSLY, he just – doesn’t quite GET what she’s doing. Is she sick? Drunk?

He KNOWS it’s April Fools, his plot is centered around it. The fact Roxanne’s doing it to HIM just goes over his (giant blue) head.

And he’d STOP, except she just keeps usings these grandious descriptions of him… And between screams she’s SMILING… And if he could JUST figure out what’s going on…

(Wayne is the second last to figure it out, but fortunately does before he’s contacted. He’s hiding out with a box of popcorn watching in and chortling.)
