Human anatomy taking too long so here’s another pony Roxanne.
I’m trying to figure out her colour scheme. Something peachy or pink is an obvious choice, but it’s also pretty boring, and purple looking fresh, but also stabbing my eyes a bit.
And I’m not sure about if I’m gonna add any cutiemark whatsoever. I don’t think it should be a microphone, or any other reporter’s equipment. Her talent should be represented in something more.. abstract. But I have no idea, honestly.
a star on fire? a star for brilliance, and the fire that indicates she’s passionate about things.
a heart on fire? she cares very deeply about things, and she’s got a talent for making people care about things, too– ‘setting hearts on fire’.
(obviously the original artwork here is by @novuerau; I just drew the possible cutie marks)
hooo boi it’s been some time but since it came up i kinda feel a bit nostalgic so here is a redraw with quickly improvised cutiemark based on your first suggestion a little pointed star with something like flames (she is a star reporter and it’s also a nod to her extraterrestrial boyfriend)
OOOHHH IT’S SO PRETTY!
I love the way you drew it, with the star being more complex and sharply pointed, and the blue and red flames! The position of the flames makes the mark look a little bit like a torch, which makes me think of victory and ‘lighting the way’. It suits her so well!
Iiiiiiii got inspired and all of a sudden there’s four of them.
Megamind tried not to think of the feel of her hand on his scalp. Ugly alien eroticism’s were not part of her world. Nor should they be. She wanted to be his friend… What would possess her so was beyond him, but he would take the thread of hope. Clutch to it even if logic dictated that it would only hurt him all the more when the farce was over.
The first time he sees her, he just glances at her, really.
He thinks, later, that the moment should have had more—emphasis, somehow, should have paused and slowed and spun out like something made of honey or molten glass.
(gravitational time dilation; time slowing down near massive things due to the strength of their gravitational fields, and if there’s ever an event that should have warped Megamind’s personal perception of the fabric of spacetime, it’s his first sight of Roxanne Ritchi.)
