Either via holographic projectors or tech built into the walls and ceiling to create the effects of being underwater without the actual–well–water.
You get the soothing effects of being underwater (probably even more soothing for M’ega, considering their evolutionary heritage) without the yucky bits; the dressing/undressing, drying off, wet-and-icky sensory hell, etc. Or the energy required to float/swim, either, but rather the comforting weight of gravity (and maybe a weighted blanket) holding you to your bed.
For like, calming anxiety? And situations of autistic meltdown/shutdown? You could program it with specific songs or soundscapes or a combination, have preset temperature controls and light settings, even scent diffusers–all with just the press of a button.
