Nocturne in Black and Gold: The Falling Rocket, James Whistler

I was just screaming about this painting a few weeks ago and about the meaning behind it (Whistler basically turning london fog/smog and industry into something ethereal and magical looking), but also apparently it’s hanging in the DIA like 30 minutes away from where I grew up!!
