Natural swimming pools are made of aquatic plants and naturally occurring bacteria that not only filter the water, they also contribute to the landscaping. (Source)

@setepenre-set I don’t know exactly what this digital art piece is representing, but to me, it looks like a pool sanctuary-type area that perhaps the M’ega would have in their homes or yards. (Do they have yards… or property around their homes of some sort…?) Either way, it just feels very M’ega related. 🙂

I picture most of their habitations being built on, like, docks, or on small rock formations (natural or otherwise) rising out of the water. Some houses in more rural areas might have an area around their house partitioned off for children to play in, and I think a lot of houses have a courtyard in the center of them, open to the sky, with a kind of water garden/pool area!

And this picture is very M’ega-like!

Modest Mouse – Lampshades On Fire

@setepenre-set Ooooh, the way these houses are positioned around the water, it looks like the water is used in place of streets – maybe for boat travel…?? I can totally see this being something the M’ega would have in their cities (but I’m thinking their houses/living areas would look much different from these places, lol.) Do the M’ega use waterways in place of streets in their cities?

They do have waterways in place of streets, yes! And you’re right; their houses would look very different.

Heavy rain leaves trail under crystalline water and creates rare, beautiful scene. This scene is located in Bonito, MS, Brazil.

This looks like a dream I had

@setepenre-set they get flooding like this on M’ega don’t they? cause this is really cool. if the flooding is regular in a way that’s not always threatening, would there be like, gardens and landscapes like this designed specifically to be experienced under flood conditions?

ooooh yes!
