Do you think Metro Man could break a brainbot if he tried?

I think Metro Man could break the world if he tried. Or at least come very close.

Metro Man’s powers are terrifying. Megamind knows this, and builds his brainbots accordingly, designing them for optimum safety.

The glass braincases, which contain the organic and cybernetic brains, are as close to indestructible as Megamind can make them, while the limbs and jaws are designed to break off with relative ease. Metro Man can disable the bots relatively easily, so it’s not really worth the extra effort that actually destroying them would require. And the brainbots don’t feel pain. Which is also by design. So Megamind simply goes back after the battles and collects any injured bots, or has some of the other bots do so, takes them back to the Lair, then repairs them.

Which is why Megamind does throw the dynamite at them in the film; he still doesn’t like doing it it, but he knows they won’t be hurt or permanently damaged.

The thing with the bots’ limbs coming off easily is all part of the supervillain smoke and mirrors–Megamind actually does something like that for himself, too: his capes tear away from his mantle easily, so anyone grabbing hold of them during a fight ends up with with a cape and nothing else, and Megamind slips away.

Like with Titan, in the film–Titan is gripping The Black Mamba robes; Megamind needs to get away, so he presses the emergency eject button on the giant robot, which catapults him out of the robot–and Titan is left with nothing but empty robes in his hand.

Do you think Mega’s first Celebrity crush would be Bill Nye the science guy?

LOL I’m sure he admires him! I tend to base Megamind’s experiences of romance/sexuality on my own (ace spectrum) experiences, though, and I don’t really get celebrity crushes? At least in the way people usually describe celebrity crushes. Admiration, yes, enjoyment of watching them, yes, but–oh, I don’t know. Even fictional characters, the ones I like best, I’m more likely to fantasize about being them, rather than fantasizing about spending time with them myself.
