Thank you so much! (it obviously took me a while to answer this lol but!) I really like this prompt, and I will for sure save it!

people who consider themselves “intellectuals” look up to megamind because he is the ‘highests being of intelligence on our planet’, but he always roasts those people over the internet
Definitely! Megamind mispronounces words and his best friend struggles with spelling; that particular kind of smug ‘intellectual’ classism isn’t going to go down with him at all.
It’s interesting to me that, even though Megamind prides himself on his intellect, he never really uses it to make other people feel stupid.
He calls the people of Metrocity ‘mindless drones’, yes, but that seems to be based on them being so obsessed with Metro Man–he calls them ‘softheaded groupies’ first; his real complaint is with their blind worship of Metro Man.
When he thinks Minion doesn’t understand the definition of ‘melancholy’, he doesn’t mock Minion, but just phrases it different for him: “unhappy”.
He does the same thing for Hal, with the word ‘unfathomable’; when he says “you’ve been blessed with unfathomable powers!” and Hal says “what kind of powers?”, he starts to repeat the word ‘unfathomable’, then quickly and seamlessly changes to rephrasing it for Hal instead: “it’s without fathom”. And he does it without acting superior at all.
Roxanne finishes work early; decides to go for a walk home the long way around rather than run into Hal. In her random street walking, she stumbles upon Evil Lair. What does she find there? This popped into my head and I would love to see what you do with it if you don’t mind, I’m sort of obsessed with your writing *smiles shyly*
Ahh thank you so much! 😀 I will definitely save this story prompt; it’s basically pure wish fulfillment for Megamind!
Just out of curiosity, how old is Roxanne in Temptress? Would she be in her twenties at the end of the story?
She’s in her late teens when she comes to Metro City, and by the end of the story she’s in her very early twenties. Megamind is about the same age.
Megamind realizing that he is actually attracted to his frequent hostage, Roxanne Ritchi. Later, Megamind realizing that this goes beyond “attraction,” and possibly also beyond a “crush”.
Yes! I’m finally going to actually write Megamind’s realization during Gravitational Equations for Falling!
Megamind and Strange Magic: RomComs that are actually funny.
HA yes! I like the way the humor isn’t based on embarrassment.
I can’t stop thinking about “old, new, borrowed and blue” and what’s going to happen when they finally do go to the wedding and meet Roxanne’s family. Like…what if her mom actually *likes* Roxanne’s mysterious new boyfriend and thinks they’re well matched? Because he’s clearly an intellectual dweeb and WAY more her type than that Wayne fellow…
Ohhh, writing Roxanne’s family’s reactions to her “new boyfriend” is going to be quite fun! 😀

💙This is all sorts of gorgeous. He looks so sweet and innocent. (I hope he doesn’t get hurt in chapters to come.) I also love how his face looks luminated, makes him also give off a mysterious, magical presence. No wonder Roxanne couldn’t stay away from him.
Ahhh thank you! I’m so glad the innocence came through; that was definitely what I was going for here! And the way he seems almost to glow; I’m so happy you like that, too! 💙💙💙

Aha! Now I know what kind of caudal fins he has! My idea was totally wrong! And my freshwater fins were off going by that neck frill.
To be honest, I’ve never been able to create an artwork depiction that is completely accurate to way I visualize Syx in Dangerous Currents–you can see how very different this picture I did of him is from the one here.
I know every piece of art turns out different from the artist’s original conception, but for some reason, that seems to hold particularly true for Syx from Dangerous Currents. Every picture I make of him turns out sort of–impressionistic.
